Central Park

" The most unusual and surrealistic place in New York City is Central Park..." -Christo

While on one of our Manhattan excursions, we took a detour and ate in Central Park... and it was- as it always is- fabulous. When you find yourself in New York, you can no other word use but- fabulous...

By mere accident, we found the John Lennon's "Imagine". This is probably a good time to mention... that... well...

I am Eugenia Sanchez and I am a Beatleholic.

Upper East Sider Pigeons... the very best kind.

Talk about diversity- crepes, empanadas and coffee.

Only in New York...

Saturday in New York

New Yorkers are strict when it comes to attending the sacred Saturday tradition upon which the city was founded on... brunch.

No matter how the stocks closed, Wall Streeters will be there. No matter what new trends were set, fashionistas will be there and no matter how their art gallery did, artists will be there. And... after a long week, we were there. At Brunch. In the Village.
We went to Cornelia Café, where I had a Virgin Mary and Steak Frites. The meal was mediocre, as brunch always is. But the atmosphere was energetic and trendy.
After brunch, we walked through the Village, starting at the heart (Christopher and Gay Street, probably my favorite part).
Home to the fabulous gays of New York, the Village is full of excellent restaurants, eccentric sex shops and trendy gay bars... it's probably one of the only trendy, yuppie-free areas left in Manhattan.

Please read the caption in the poster, it's great.

Collage of this year's gay parade. The woman hugging the drag queen's breast- that's my mother.

Now this is actually the first time I have seen this in New York. Ever. I mean, EVER.

Afterwards, we went to Washington Square, where you can find virtually anything.
